The CycleKart Video Page

And there was a fun haybale track just for us to play on!
It's exciting and somewhat amazing to see how many Cyclekart videos are now up on the web!

We'll be adding some of our newer videos over time, and as we make them, so the quality will rise, we hope! We are also linking to a few videos made by other people, but which we feel really exemplify the ethos Peter and I set in place 20-odd years ago.

We have a few of our own from WAY back when there weren't many other CycleKarts than our original three, aside from a handful made by our close friends. The quality of those early videos is a bit subpar (isn't that an interesting phrase? Being subpar is bad, but having a golf score below par is great! Wonderfully intricate language, English...) The older videos of ours are at the bottom of this page — Scroll down!

SO: Enjoy these, and send us more of your own video links!
We got to drive CycleKarts ON the Laguna Seca racetrack!
Really exciting and FUN!

This is a Beautifully done video, and these people really GET what Peter and I were trying to aim for when we started this whole movement...We Love this video!

Videos Produced By Other CycleKartistes

These are wonderful videos about CycleKarting done by other people, We wanted to share these, as we think they really capture some great elements of C-Ks, and they're just great fun!
Another video which exemplifies the ethos we were hoping people would take on as they created new CycleKarts. Great stuff!
A video of our lap around Laguna Seca, by Steve Vinson. Steve organised this event, and he did a nice job of positioning his car so that we could all be included in this video. I am just following Steve through the Corkscrew. Thank you, Steve!
This is Ben's take on our lap of Laguna Seca. This video shows more of the Le Mans start!
While we were all at Laguna Seca, Colin wanted to film a short interview with me talking about the original Delage CycleKart design.

CycleKarts on Brooklands! Wow; Peter would have LOVED this! Brooklands was a life-long inspiration to Peter Stevenson. The track, the airfield, the history and accomplishments made their — the very concept behind the place.

The Right Crowd, and No Crowding!

We look forward to meeting our UK CycleKart friends as soon as we can. They seem to be having great fun and very nice spots!

Dennis' video of Laguna Seca, also with good Le Mans start footage.
These are some of the earliest CycleKarting videos, from back in the early 2000s. The video quality is sketchy, but digital cameras were very much less-capable back then. (don't even get me started on how fun it was to shoot video to 3/4" BetaSP with a 3-tube Sony camera which came in a hard case larger than most suitcases! Had to warm the tubes, white-balance every few hours...Still: We were STOKED that we could record Video remotely! To a "portable" deck (which was the size of a carry-on bag and weighed about 22lbs...)

Have fun, and enjoy the First-Gen Cyclekarting vids!

And a tour of the Stoneleigh track from around the same time, Autumn 2006

I was driving with one hand and taping with the other, so I'm afraid both sufffered, but one certainly gets the idea of the track layout and look.
A bit of fun from Fall of 2003!
A look at the Buffy-Porson CycleCAR (a bit larger and designed for driving on the road, rather than the smaller CycleKarts). Sadly, this car is no longer, but we'll make a new version one of these years, adding the bits we learned from this one! This was taken in the Fall of 2003.
